Chris Xenophontos earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University and his Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from NYIT in Old Westbury. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a credential allowing him to seamlessly bridge the gap between rehab and training. Chris approaches care through a biopsychosocial lens, recognizing that pain is never purely physical. He prioritizes patient education, making sure every person he works with understands what is driving their pain and what they can do about it, because real recovery starts with clarity. His treatment is grounded in movement quality, strength and conditioning principles, graded exposure, and progressive loading. As an athlete himself, Chris understands what an injury means when you are training for performance or chasing a PR. He plays basketball recreationally, trains consistently in the gym, and has a growing passion for endurance sports, having completed a half marathon and currently setting his sights on the 2027 NYC Marathon. These experiences directly inform how he connects with patients who want more than just pain relief and are ready to get back to performing, competing, and doing what they love. Outside the clinic, you can find him trying out new restaurants and cafes around the city, walking his golden retriever, or in a surprisingly competitive game of pickleball or ping pong.
