Barbara (Babs) graduated from Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2024. She enjoys working with clients who may have multiple special conditions whose needs must be balanced. She believes that everyone is an expert at how it feels to be in their own body, and her job as a massage therapist is to work with clients to help reduce pain, increase their functional range of motion, promote relaxation and feel connected to their body. Before coming to massage therapy as a career, Babs has been an archaeologist, a nature and historical interpreter on two continents, and a strategic planning/innovation consultant for nonprofits, charities and businesses around Alberta trying to do good things. After a head injury in 2019 and the work from home era in 2020, she realized she couldn’t work on computers all day anymore. She loves massage, because it’s a great way to help people feel empowered and capable - it’s really hard to try and make the world a better place when you’re focusing on pain, after all!
A 60-minute massage is a full-body therapeutic treatment designed to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote deep relaxation. This session allows the therapist to address specific areas of concern while still providing balanced, restorative care from head to toe.
