Graham is an accomplished and dedicated former Head Athletic Therapist of the Montreal Canadiens. With a proven track record spanning over two decades, he has been instrumental in providing top-notch medical care, injury prevention, and rehabilitation support to elite athletes. His expertise lies in maximizing performance and minimizing downtime for athletes through his adept management of complex medical situations and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Graham holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic Therapy from Concordia University (1991) and has been a Certified Athletic Therapist CAT(C) since 1994 as well as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist since 1995. He currently also holds a Sports Emergency Medical Responder certification from the Red Cross. In 1991 he began his career as assistant therapist for the Montreal Machine in the NAFL. He then moved on to working in private practice for 5 years between 1992 and 1997. In the fall of 1997, Graham joined the Montreal Canadiens as assistant Athletic Therapist and in 2000 was promoted to Head Athletic Therapist for almost 26 years. His leadership extended beyond player care to the mentorship of athletic therapy staff and active participation in league-wide conferences and committees, contributing to the development of sports medicine best practices. He was awarded the CATA’s Award of Merit for his outstanding management of one of his players, Brian Savage, who had an on-ice incident that caused multiple cervical fractures.
