Dr. Chan is a Canadian National Board certified chiropractor born and raised in the Ottawa region. He graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario with an Honors Degree in Kinesiology. Following his four years at McMaster, he went on to study another four years at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He is a registered member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and is an active member in the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Ontario Chiropractic Association. Dr. Chan provides diversified chiropractic treatments with the overall goal of alleviating stress, pain and discomfort, allowing the body to heal and function properly. As an integrative treatment, soft tissue release work and rehabilitation exercises are prescribed to prevent reoccurrence of injury. In addition to chiropractic, Dr. Chan holds a certificate in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. The goals of medical acupuncture are to provide clinical improvement in your condition or your symptoms through the activation of the body’s natural pain control and healing mechanisms. Through ongoing medical research, acupuncture has been shown to be beneficial in treating many conditions and disorders including, but not limited to, headaches, acute/chronic pain, tendonitis, and arthritis. Dr. Chan believes in an approach to care that not only includes treatment, but also focuses on patient education. He encourages his patients to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
