Mark Gibson Massage Therapist & Movement-Based Bodywork Mentor Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mark Gibson grew up in Birmingham, Alabama before returning to Baton Rouge to attend Louisiana State University in 2010. While in college, he studied psychology, physical theatre, and circus arts, where he was first introduced to neuromuscular sports injury massage in 2012. Mark developed his hands-on skills through years of working with fellow performers, helping them prevent and recover from strain and injury. His graduate studies led him to earn a Master of Fine Arts in contemporary performance, deepening his mastery of movement principles and body mechanics. With a lifelong passion for movement and the human body, Mark pursued professional credentials in massage therapy to expand his ability to support healing in a clinical and community setting. His work blends performance-based body awareness with precise neuromuscular techniques, making him especially effective with athletes, performers, and anyone seeking intelligent, movement-informed bodywork. Mark relocated to Santa Barbara in early 2026 and is excited to serve the local community while also mentoring developing therapists in movement-based therapeutic approaches
