Erin graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, with honours, in August of 2019. She grew up performing various types of dance, such as ballet, tap and jazz. With dance being such a huge part of her life, she developed a keen interest in human anatomy and physiology and wanted to learn more about injury rehabilitation and functional anatomy. Prior to becoming an RMT, Erin completed her Esthetics diploma at Blanche Macdonald Centre and was placed into the beauty industry where she developed her passion for helping others, and making them feel relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. Becoming an RMT allowed Erin to be able to combine all these interests and passions, creating a practice dedicated to encouraging and helping maintain the health and well being of others. After completing her case study on post concussion syndrome, she found utilizing techniques such as trigger point release, myofascial release, dynamic release and Swedish massage to be effective in reducing pain and tension, while restoring anatomical function. While in school, she got to work at a wide range of outreaches which included Ronald McDonald House and the Seawheeze Marathon. Outreach experiences allowed her to work with a variety of patients and conditions such as, but not limited to, Trisomy 21, Cerebral Palsy, Nerve compression, Frozen Shoulder, Muscle strains, Ligament sprains and Tendinopathies. Erin believes that massage therapy not only has the ability to relieve stress and chronic pain, but allows people to become more educated in their posture and body awareness. When Erin isn’t at work, she enjoys dancing, hiking, weight training, and kickboxing.
