Kayla is a proud Brock University Alumni and University of Toronto graduate. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Brock University and continued on to the University of Toronto where she graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. During her studies, Kayla worked with various sports teams, including the University of Toronto women’s volleyball team and the Brock university varsity basketball teams, where she assisted with on-field assessment, pre-game therapy, and rehabilitation of various injuries sustained by athletes. These experiences have helped her to develop a passion for empowering people to get the most out of their bodies in order to get the most out of life! Kayla has taken various continuing educational courses in the pelvic health field and is a certified pelvic health physiotherapist. She has a special interest in working with women during pregnancy and post-partum to help prepare for labour and delivery as well as improve their activity levels during pregnancy and in the post-partum stages. Her end goal is always to help people return to doing the things that mean the most to them, whether that is playing with grandkids, walking their dog, getting back to the gym, or improving their athletic performance for sport. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with friends and family and loves trying new foods and restaurants; any recommendations are always welcomed! Kayla loves sports, being active in each season, and exploring the outdoors on foot, bike, canoe, or skis.
