Jeannine grew up in a large, active family where sports were a regular part of all ten members’ lives. For years she witnessed family members experiencing a large variety of sports injuries, including rare conditions. This sparked her interest, so she decided to pursue her undergraduate in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College, where she received a Bachelor of Applied Science. She has worked with a variety of sports teams, treating many different injuries along the way. She has experience working in acute, life-threatening situations, as well as treating more chronic conditions. She has extensive knowledge and ability for utilizing taping techniques and exercise prescription for return to play. Wanting to further her knowledge and expertise in the musculoskeletal system and to learn more about the neurological and cardiorespiratory systems, Jeannine went on to complete her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. Through her schooling, she found a new interest in brain injury rehab and has had experience working with this population. She has seen the ways in which injury can have, not only a physical, but also a psychological impact on health, and can greatly affect an individual’s return to sport, work, or any other aspect of life. Jeannine’s approach to treatment is a combination of manual therapy and exercise. Movement is extremely important, and she believes it has a tremendous positive impact on both physical and mental health!
