Dr. Michael Payan

Dr. Michael Payán’s lifelong love of sports and passion for helping others are what drove him to pursue a career in healthcare. While earning his first degree in Psychology from Los Angeles Community College, Dr. Payán played for the school’s baseball and football teams. As a student-athlete, he developed a deeper interest in the mechanics of the body, the nervous system, and how to heal the body naturally through the movement and manipulation of these areas. He began his decade-long career as a massage therapist while earning his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic – Los Angeles. Today, Dr. Payán brings both his clinical and personal experience in sports and rehabilitation to provide the highest level of care for his patients and help them return to, reach, or maintain the kind of active lifestyle they desire. He understands what it is like to be injured and what it takes to help his patients come through their recovery stronger than before. Dr. Payán has extensive experience working with athletic injuries, motor vehicle injuries, and posture imbalances. His training includes experience with Dynamic Neuromuscular Stimulation (D.N.S.), Concussion Rehabilitation, International Certification in Impairment and Disability Rating and he is a certified Functional Capacity Evaluator. Outside the office, Dr. Payán has begun a new adventure as an assistant coach at Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School and Regional Arts Centre. He also enjoys coaching his son’s and daughter’s baseball and basketball teams and spending quality time with his incredible, loving wife.
