RMT STUDIO
573 Wellington Street West, Second Floor, Toronto, ON, M5V 1G3
Natural Pressure: Moderate | Firm Style: Slow | Intentional | Focused Approach to Treatment: Marguerite views the patient with a biopsychosocial lens, encompassing areas within that may impact the patient’s chief complaint. She uses a pressure that is most comfortable for the patient, but in general the movements are slow and deliberate. Ensuring the patient’s comfort and safety is most important. Assessment may take place prior to treatment, or during, depending on the presentation/needs. Since becoming an RMT in 2013, she believes that Massage Therapy has an integral impact on our nervous system, shifting it from a state of sympathetic (fight/flight) to parasympathetic (rest/digest). Exploring the impact of the nervous system is the key bedrock for which dysfunction in the body occurs leading to pain and reduced mobility. Who should book with Marguerite? Endurance Athletes (Runners, swimmers, cyclists, triathletes) Lymphedema management (Post Cancer treatment, post orthopedic surgery, acute/chronic injuries) Tension/stress (headache, migraine, heightened sympathetic nervous system state, GI concerns) Treatments provide relief of pain, improve mobility and allow the body to heal Additional Training: Dr. Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage Level 1-3 Dr. Vodder Certified Lymphedema Therapist Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizer for compression garments Reflexology Indian Head Massage Reiki Feel free to contact Marguerite with any treatment related inquiries at [email protected]
