Zia has been a part of the Source team since 2022. Her fervor for learning about different approaches to healing from diverse cultures, inspired by her early years in the Caribbean, led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Cultural Anthropology from Southern Connecticut State University. Her interest in healthcare led her to experience different parts of the medical field from environmental services in a hospital, to years as a pharmacy tech, and most recently in a home health agency. Through her own healing journey, she found Qi Gong and Traditional Chinese Medicine which has furthered both her understanding of the human body and spirit and its healing processes. This inspired her to become Reiki Level 1 and Lymphatic Enhancement Therapist certified. In her free time, Zia enjoys practicing Qi Gong, Reiki, and studying energy work modalities and TCM with hopes of one day pursuing her Masters in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.
