Dr. Catie’s interest in health and proper functioning of the human body began while she completed her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University in her hometown, Antigonish, NS. Dr. Catie followed her interest in the human body, and continued her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2015. As a member of the women’s varsity hockey team at St. Francis Xavier, Dr. Catie experienced her fair share of sport-related injuries. Chiropractic care made a significant difference in her performance on and off the ice, and she still loves to play regularly. Dr. Catie actively treats athletes ranging from the weekend warrior, to national and Olympic level athletes. Dr. Catie treats a variety of acute and chronic conditions brought on by both sports, and general wear and tear. Her approach to treatment includes a combination of orthopedic and functional assessment, current evidence-based research, patient preference, and clinical experience. It is Dr. Catie’s goal to help people start feeling better, and moving better!
