Hi there! I’m Tara, a registered massage therapist dedicated to enhancing wellness and facilitating recovery. Graduating from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT) in 2022, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice. As a proud Canadian and former member of the 2000 Olympic swim team, my journey has been filled with discipline and determination. I earned my Bachelors degrees in Arts and Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), where I developed a deep understanding of the human body and its complexities. In my practice, I utilize a range of techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, lymph drainage, and myofascial release, to address various musculoskeletal issues. Whether you need to unwind with a soothing Swedish massage or target stubborn knots with deep tissue work, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs. Additionally, I take ICBC patients for both kinesiology and massage services. However, please note that I am not currently direct billing ICBC. Patients will need to submit their own receipts for reimbursement. On the bright side, I do offer direct billing for all major insurance companies, making the process smoother and hassle-free for my clients. Outside of the treatment room, I have a passion for knitting and enjoy the meditative process of creating beautiful pieces with yarn. I also like to stay active and challenge myself both mentally and physically by practicing jiujitsu. My goal as a therapist is to help my patients return to the activities, they love by providing personalised care and empowering them with the tools they need to achieve their wellness goals. With a compassionate approach and a commitment to continuous learning, I strive to empower my clients to achieve their wellness goals and lead fulfilling lives.
