Ariane is from Boston, MA and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She specializes in pelvic floor conditions. She has completed postgraduate pelvic health training through Herman and Wallace. She teaches yoga on the side and incorporates yoga knowledge into her physical therapy practice. This out-of-pocket service is for our Medicare patients. The Social Security Act’s Mandatory Claims Submission rule makes it illegal, under federal law, for a physical therapist to collect direct payment from a Medicare beneficiary for any service that is covered by Medicare. Even if the Physical Therapist has no relationship with Medicare. At WIMB, we can provide Medicare beneficiaries with services that are NOT covered by Medicare, which include fitness/wellness services. We can not provide services for someone who needs “Medically necessary care”, which include a referral from your Doctor and/or post operative care. Therefore, only statutorily uncovered fitness and wellness services are available to Medicare patients, and that we will refer those patients to Medicare-enrolled PT providers when needed.
