Paul is new to our Coast Therapy team and currently building his schedule. This is a great opportunity to book with him while appointment availability is open—we’re excited to have him join us! Paul graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) in August 2023 with Clinical Distinction. A former competitive strength athlete, he placed 2nd in the Heavyweight division at Alberta’s Strongest Man (2013) and won 1st in the Lightweight division in 2014. His firsthand experience with high-impact injuries—including fractures, muscle tears, crush injuries, and chronic pain—shapes his deeply informed, client-centered approach to rehabilitation. Paul specializes in trigger point therapy, myofascial release (MFR), Swedish massage, joint mobilizations, and manual spinal decompression using breath-guided traction. He takes a distinctive approach to certain types of back pain by addressing the biomechanical triad of the psoas, iliacus, and diaphragm, and is skilled at resolving referred pain patterns that often appear unrelated to the primary complaint. Outside of practice, Paul continues to train for strength, stays current with research in performance and recovery, and is actively developing his knowledge in data science—a discipline that fuels his interest in precision, systems thinking, and evidence-based decision-making.
