Cara Mace has been service Guelph as a Massage Therapist since 2012. She graduated as Valedictorian from the Canadian College of Massage Therapy in 2012, with a clinical focus in Pregnancy, Hospice care, and Jaw dysfunction. Since graduating Cara has taken many specialized courses in cranial and cervical spine work, specialized assessments, myofascial release, and lumbosacral pelvic mobilizations at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. Cara was a recipient of the Guelph Readers Choice for Massage Therapy in 2015. Cara is keen on listening to what the body tells, as it is not always the same as where the pain is. Her intuition and palpation skills began much earlier, when she trained as a doula in 2000, and then a Medical Laboratory specialist in 2002. Understanding the biochemistry and pathologies of the body came long before her change to Massage Therapy. She has a vast knowledge of the mind-body connection and holistic practices to help aide in recovery. She is mom to 3 girls, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and aunt to 4 boys. She loves growing/canning her own food, cooking and feeding others, making her own body products, and hiking with her 2 dogs.
