Techniques and modalities: Deep Tissue, Swedish, Relaxation, Myofascial, Prenatal, Neuromuscular, Silicone Cupping I work with clients to find fluidity and ease in their body, support their nervous system, reduce chronic pain, build somatic awareness, and support injury rehabilitation. In a session, I incorporate Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Direct Myofascial, and Swedish modalities to help soft tissue and the nervous system release unnecessary tension and holding patterns. I also work with more subtle layers, through what may sometimes feel like stillness or lighter touch, to support the well being of your entire system. I value collaboration in bodywork, and it’s important to me that each session aligns with your interests, comfort, and well-being. Your input and questions are always welcome during our initial intake as well as at any point during the session.* Any request to stop or pause the session or a specific aspect of it will be immediately honored. Additionally, I’m happy to work with you on other adjustments that are within my personal skills and scope as a massage therapist. This includes your interest in not having to talk at all during the session. We can agree before the start of the session on nonverbal signals for communicating a request to stop, pause, or change something for your comfort and safety. I’ve been providing manual soft tissue treatment in both clinical and therapeutic settings for going on 5 years. While pursuing my license in massage therapy at East West College in Portland Oregon, I studied and practiced a variety of modalities that I continue to use today including Deep Tissue, Swedish, Neuromuscular, Craniosacral, Thai, and Myofascial work. Most recently I’ve focused my personal studies on somatic integration, utilizing tools and practices from the Alexander Technique, movement and meditation, and biodynamic hands on work. In addition to bodywork, I love to dance, play music, and learn new things. This year I’ve started learning about beekeeping and will be starting my first hives this spring!
