Jolie completed both her Masters of Physical Therapy and Bachelors of Kinesiology in Health Science at UBC. Growing up competing in various sports including volleyball, basketball, track and field, swimming, and dragonboat, she was introduced to physiotherapy through her own injuries, which sparked an interest in rehabilitation. While at UBC, Jolie worked as a student athletic trainer for the UBC Men’s Volleyball Team, through which she was granted the opportunity to assist on the rehabilitation team for the Women’s National Volleyball Team and Men’s Youth National Volleyball Team. Jolie is passionate about empowering people through movement. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds to create treatment plans that assist their rehabilitation journey to achieve optimal function and performance. To further her clinical expertise, Jolie has been pursuing continuing education, having taken several courses in the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Program, as well as running assessments and bike fitting. She has a special interest in working with sports rehabilitation. She believes movement is medicine, which is a keystone to her practice. Jolie’s treatment approach includes exercise prescription, manual therapy, IMS, blood flow restriction, taping, and patient education, with the aim of helping individuals achieve their goals, whether they are recovering from injury or looking to optimize performance.
