In her practice, Dr. Allison Galan focuses on empowering her patients to be their own catalyst for change. She creates a unique environment and space for patients to feel safe and comfortable expressing all aspects of health, including the physical and mental realms. This can involve exploring all aspects of their life, and their relationship with themselves and others. She believes that health is a journey and is passionate about being a teacher, support, and guide for her patients to assist them with a holistic health approach to balancing their lives. She believes that overall health involves exploring mental, emotional, spiritual, and emotional components. Dr. Galan works with individuals with a variety of health concerns in her general practice, including but not limited to, adrenal & thyroid concerns, hormonal imbalance, stress and burnout, digestive concerns (IBS & IBD), chronic fatigue, autoimmunity, as well as mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, history of abuse & trauma. She also has a keen interest in women’s health and treats women of all ages from pre-teen and up, working on hormonal balancing, pre-conception and family planning, infertility, PCOS and menopause. Dr Galan employs many different modalities creating a holistic and individualized approach. These modalities include lifestyle coaching, supplementation, botanical medicine, nutritional IV and injection therapy, acupuncture and cupping techniques, as well as nutritional support and counseling. Dr. Galan graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta. She is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA), the Alberta Association of Naturopathic Doctors (AAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
