With over 10 years experience working with orthopaedic and sports injuries, Cassie is passionate about helping others regain their functional mobility and strength, whether it be to return to high level competitive sport or to be able to participate in life’s everyday activities with confidence. Over the years Cassie has always strived to work together with her clients to focus on the root cause of the injury. She believes that education is a vital component of physiotherapy care and delivers personalized care programs using a combination of education, hands on manual therapy, exercise and acupuncture/dry needling. Her goal through physiotherapy is to help provide clients with the proper tools and care in their healing journeys. She enjoys providing inclusive care to people of all ages and ability levels. Her passion for how the body works started in high school with her first anatomy and physiology class. From there she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa graduating with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Human Kinetics while working in a multi disciplinary sports physiotherapy clinic as a physiotherapy assistant. Cassie knew from that experience that her future lay in the realm of physiotherapy and completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2014 at the University of Toronto. Cassie grew up outside of Ottawa playing sports including ringette, hockey and softball. She continues to love living an active lifestyle spending time outdoors, discovering new hiking trails, gardening, and skating but can also be found with a good book, a needle point project or tending to her many houseplants.
