Pure Form Physiotherapy
Simmy grew up in Osoyoos BC; fun fact…. it is in the only desert in Canada! Growing up in a small town meant limited social activities, that’s why she spent most of her time playing either soccer, volleyball or basketball. Being immersed in so many sports meant witnessing her fair share of injuries and the rehab it took to get back into the game. Those experiences lead to her pursuing a career in physiotherapy. Simmy completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Fraser Valley and her Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. Before moving to Australia to do Physiotherapy she worked as a Kinesiologist which provided a foundation in exercise prescription which allows an active approach to rehab. Before moving back to Canada Simmy spent time working in a private practice where she treated patients with sport and joint injuries. She is now able to supplement her background in exercise rehab with clinical experience in manual techniques for soft tissue release aimed at acute and chronic injuries. She believes that a combination of manual therapy and active rehab (exercises!) provides patients with optimal recovery. In her spare time you can find Simmy on long walks, going for runs or fitting in a quick workout at the gym. Languages spoken: English, Punjabi
