Sophia graduated from the University of British Columbia - Okanagan with a bachelor of Human Kinetics and a Minor in Psychology. While there, she was a member of the Women’s Varsity Volleyball team and was awarded Academic-All Canadian for all 5 years she played. She completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta and has already gotten involved in the sport scene by coaching for the Junior Dinos Volleyball program for the past 2 seasons. As a previous competitive tennis and volleyball athlete who has gone through many injuries of her own, she has a keen interest in sport related injury and rehabilitation, as well as general orthopaedic injuries, and is committed to getting clients and athletes of all ages back to their desired level of functioning. She is keen on learning more about sports rehabilitation as she understands what it takes mentally and physically to recover from injuries and get back into sport. Sophia uses a combination of manual therapy (hands on approach) with exercises to get you back to doing what you love. She is also aiming to complete her IMS certification in June 2024. Sophia also has a passionate interest for Women’s Health and Pelvic Physiotherapy and is completing her Level 2 certification June 2024.
