Dr. Rector was born and raised in Knoxville, Iowa. Dr. Rector attended Iowa State University where he majored in Health and Human Performance prior to attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa. He graduated from Palmer in June of 2009 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Rectors post graduate certifications include becoming a full body certified and IRONMAN provider and practitioner of Active Release Technique, which is considered to be gold standard techniques for muscle manipulation and myofascial release. In addition Dr. Rector is a Certified Level 3 medical practitioner within the Titleist Performance Institute; a rehabilitative and performance program specifically designed to help athletes and golfers of all abilities perform at their highest level as well as treat golf related injuries. Dr. Rector is also certified in dry needling. Dr. Rector is a certified provider for the Webster technique; a treatment specifically designed to work with pregnant women. Lastly, Dr. Rector is a Board Certified McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy provider. Dr. Rector strongly believes in giving back to his community. He serves as a Johnston Chamber of Commerce board member, an active board member of the Johnston Community School District Foundation, a Johnston Rotarian as well as being involved in several other organizations around Johnston and the Des Moines Metro. Dr. Rector currently resides in Grimes, Iowa with his wife, two daughters and son. He is a cyclone sports fanatic, loves golfing, coaching his children’s many activities, and watching his girls compete in dance.
This is for patients who have never been to Active Wellness for chiropractic care or for those that have not been seen in more than 2 years. This visit includes an examination, chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy and exercise therapy.
