My mission is to work with you to find balance in your health. I am a licensed acupuncturist and nationally board-certified herbalist. I am passionate about working with patients on pain management, injury rehabilitation, sleep disorders, and emotional issues such as anxiety and stress. I write custom herbal formulas for patients when appropriate. I provide an East meets West approach through my love of human anatomy. I have completed six Immaculate Dissection courses on gross anatomy. I incorporate these teachings throughout my treatments via movement assessment and physical correctives. I completed my doctorate and master’s in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science. A former social worker, I earned my master’s in Social Work at Columbia University and my bachelor’s in Social Work at New York University.
IN PERSON APPOINTMENT: 1-hour acupuncture treatment with Dr. Sarah Lu-Otero, licensed acupuncturist and NCCAOM board-certified herbalist. Includes health history intake, movement assessment / physical correctives, acupuncture and acupressure, lifestyle recommendations, and custom herbal recommendations. When appropriate, additional Eastern modalities such as gua sha, cupping, tui na, and moxa are used during treatment. If appropriate, I will create a custom herbal formula for you. The purchase of these herbs is charged separately. Location: Inside Bellport Chiropractic, 112 S Country Rd #103, Bellport, NY 11713 in Bellport Village.
