Jess is an Oregon native; she loves living in the Pacific Northwest. Jess started receiving massage and bodywork as a child due to an injury and fell in love with the many modalities offered in massage. She practiced massage on friends and family for years, unofficially, until finally taking the plunge and attending COCC for the massage program. Jess initially got her degree in Human Development Family Studies and worked in the human services field for many years before finding her calling in massage and bodywork. Jess’s style includes slow, intentional work, combining therapeutic deep tissue work with relaxation. Jess has knowledge of trauma, Advanced Childhood Experiences and wants all bodies to feel comfortable coming and receiving the necessary care they deserve. Jess is an avid reader, outdoor enthusiast, mom of two, and caretaker to over 60 plants. She loves reptiles, amphibians and finding them in their natural environment. She enjoys researching plant medicine, foraging for local seasonal mushrooms, cooking/baking and riding motorcycles.

Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
