Melanie Saffie (she/her) is a Registered Massage Therapist specializing in Relaxation Swedish Massage Therapy. While she was previously known for her deep tissue work, Melanie has shifted her focus to the art of relaxation massage. She deeply believes in the power of slowing down and reconnecting with the body to support mental, emotional, and physical well-being. In today’s fast-paced world, creating space for relaxation is essential, and Melanie strives to provide a calming, safe environment where clients can release tension, reduce stress, and restore inner balance. Her approach is centered on creating a deeply soothing and restorative experience, where therapeutic touch supports not only the body’s natural healing processes but also the mind’s need for rest. She is honored to offer a space where clients can find relief from the pressures of daily life and return to a place of calm and peace. As a part-time massage therapist, Melanie keeps her schedule flexible, and appointments are available to book online based on her current availability.
This massage begins with a general/verbal assessment keeping the client’s lifestyle and complaint in mind. The main purpose is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. It helps shorten recovery times from muscular strain by flushing the tissue of lactic acid, uric acid and other metabolic wastes. Swedish massage also stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them subtle and pliable and stimulates the skin and nervous system. It reduces both emotional and physical stress.
