Hello, my name is Tania! I am a Registered Acupuncturist and based on my own experience with chronic headaches and migraines, I know how powerful acupuncture can be to provide relief. My experience with acupuncture was so profound that I decided to return to school and study to become an Acupuncturist. Throughout my education at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC, I was continually amazed at how effective acupuncture is and by the elegance of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). When needles are inserted into various acupoints, these points become activated and prompt the body into energetic changes which promote a healing balance. Nothing is injected into the body nor is there a surgical component – only super-fine acupuncture needles. Patients of all ages may benefit which makes acupuncture truly sustainable. Throughout my studies, I learned many techniques to use alongside acupuncture such as Cupping, Moxibustion, Gua Sha and Tui Na. My favourites are Gua Sha and Ontake Moxa Rolling because they yield such amazing results for pain, and I tend to utilize these techniques in most of my treatments. I also learned during my studies, the Mei Zen System of Cosmetic Acupuncture. This is another one of my favorite treatments because in addition to the facial rejuvenation aspect, the body is also being treated. As such, acupuncture is a natural and sustainable medicine that may be used for health and beauty.
