**Therapist not taking NEW ICBC clients ** Christy graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. While in college, having the ability to collaborate as a team to help her client’s experience the best possible outcomes inspired her to be a part of a multidisciplinary practice. Before becoming an RMT, Christy worked as a receptionist and saw how much of an impact a person could have on someone else’s life, even if indirectly. She recognizes the simple value of providing a safe space for someone, and fully believes that massage can positively improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Christy has developed a passion for pregnancy massage, as well as pain management and rehabilitation - particularly for headaches, shoulder tension, and low back concerns. She uses a variety of techniques including Swedish massage, myofascial release, and joint mobilizations, thoughtfully tailoring each session to meet her clients’ individual needs. She also incorporates hot stones into all her treatments and offers relaxation-focused massage treatments to enhance comfort, promote deeper relaxation, and support overall wellbeing. Hot stones are incorporated throughout the massage (rather than only static placement) to support muscle relaxation, circulation, and overall treatment effectiveness. She also provides simple, supportive self-care strategies to help clients continue their progress at home. In her free time, Christy enjoys being out in nature and relaxing at home. She can often be found walking or hiking with a friend, or playing games with her family. She loves learning new things, and is always looking for ways to improve her own life and help those around her get closer to reaching their potential.
