Healthstars Lead MUSCLE / LIGAMENT / TENDON Therapist at our Millwoods Clinic. Andrew focuses on SHOULDER / ELBOW / KNEE / ANKLE / FOOT complaints and pain. He also focuses on specific condition such as ARTHRITIS / KNEE REPLACEMENT PREVENTION / PLANTARFASCIITIS / BURSITIS. Andrew focuses on shorter treatments to help patients manage their busy schedules, while still providing the care they need. Andrew has taken specific courses in Trigger Point therapy, Shockwave therapy (A technique to break up scar tissue and to improve blood flow) and Cold Laser Therapy (A technique that speeds up healing and reduces pain/inflammation) to help treat his patients conditions. Andrew attended Grant MacEwan University where he received his Registered Massage Therapy diploma (2200hrs) earning honors and was the President of the Massage Therapy program. Andrew has been working at Healthstar Chiropractic & Massage for over 8 years as front-end administration and is now Healthstar’ Lead Therapist. Andrew is married to his beautiful wife Isabelle and they have a dog and cats.
Initial consult and assessment with a Senior RMT for soft tissue injuries followed by treatment of area(s). This is not a traditional massage, but still provides quality results focusing on specific area(s). Deep tissue techniques mixed with specific soft tissue instruments will be used to treat these area(s). Treatment is all done over clothes, no gowning needed. By being done by a Senior RMT it includes a more thorough assessment, a more experienced therapist and one who has taken additional courses/techniques offering a premium service and treatment for the patient.
