Mayank Patel is a registered physiotherapist and has been certified in acupuncture and dry needling by APTEI, Canada. He has also been formally trained for Vestibular Rehabilitation and Post-concussion Rehabilitation. He graduated in physiotherapy from RGUHS, India in 2012. Mayank comes with a lot of experience in clinical practice. His areas of practice, interest and experience are: Musculoskeletal injuries such as various sprains, strains, frozen shoulder, low back pain, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, cervicogenic headaches, sports injuries and arthritis. Manual therapy techniques and soft tissue release. Vestibular Rehabilitation: Vertigo(BPPV), Dizziness, Balance and Proprioception retraining, Gaze stability retraining, Disequilibrium. Acupuncture
Please book as a Complex Assessment if you have more than 1 body part which you would like assessed by the Physiotherapist. An Initial Assessment is for new patients, returning patients with new injuries, or patients returning after longer than 3 months. The assessment includes detailed history taking followed by the objective physical examination by your physiotherapist. The physiotherapist will discuss about the acupuncture combined with physiotherapy treatment and its outcomes. Your initial visit includes assessment as well as treatment. Our clinic use only single use, disposable needles for acupuncture treatments. Please note that as Physiotherapists, we can only use acupuncture to treat musculoskeletal issues and headaches. Any hormonal or systemic issues require a licensed Acupuncturist to treat.
Physiotherapy
A Physiotherapist will assess your symptoms, strength, endurance/capacity, functions. Techniques of assessment/tests, duration and cost for this assessment are varies based on requirements from the Insurance company or employer. Hence, it is important for us to get as much as information and documents/forms in advance from you or an organization requesting this Assessment. Pre-approval of the assessment and fees for the same is critical if it is requested by the Insurance company or Employer.
