Dr. Yvonne Hua is a proud Bay Area native from San Jose, California born to her Vietnamese-Chinese parents and she speaks fluent Vietnamese. In 2017, she graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development, concentration in early childhood education. However, in her heart, she had always dreamt of becoming a doctor and treating people of all ages. After graduating from SJSU, she was determined to pursue her dream. In 2018, she began working at Thrive Milpitas Chiropractic in administration and later became their chiropractic assistant. During that time, she quickly became fascinated with this complementary and holistic approach to healthcare. So, in January 2019, Dr. Hua began her chiropractic career at Palmer College of Chiropractic, West Campus. While in school, she was the class representative for her first five quarters. And in her 12th and 13th quarter, she accepted an invitation to work in an internship with the Veterans Affairs of Palo Alto Healthcare System, where she had the honor to provide chiropractic care for our respectable veterans. In March 2022, she completed her educational journey receiving her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Honors. In practice, Dr. Hua treats her patients using the Diversified Full Spine Adjusting Technique. She also utilizes muscle work as a foundation for her treating style, including IASTM (instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization) and cupping. She is currently certified in Rocktape, FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab), and is working on her certifications in CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist), Webster Technique, and ART (Active Release Technique). With these, she looks to treat patients of all ages and backgrounds. In her free time, Dr. Hua loves powerlifting/weightlifting, cooking, reading, watching movies, and seeing loved ones. She cracks more than just joints; you’ll probably catch her cracking a joke or two. She lives by the motto, “treat others as you wish to be treated.”
