Lena is a graduate of the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapists as well as a graduate from York University with an honors B.Sc. Kin and a B.Ed. Lena is also a certified Level III Fascia Stretch Specialist… and fitness and healthy lifestyle enthusiast. This combination of experience leads Lena to treat her clients through relaxation and a variety of treatment techniques as well as educating her clients on how to maintain the mental and physical gains from their treatments. Lena’s experience in competitive sport from recreational to national level athlete and coach have helped to create her understanding of how our bodies move and interact with our environments and how many forms of soft tissue work can help to maximize our performance in our day to day lives as well as in sports. Lena focuses her treatment plans on your specific needs, be it for relaxation, specific muscle/joint issues, injuries, or specific training needs (pre and post event) as well as injury prevention and recovery. In addition to physical movement, Lena understands the power of the mind over the body in terms of performance, health and healing and incorporates breath, visualization and calming work into her treatments. Our lives are often so busy that the treatment time should be a calm safe space to relax and recenter our bodies and minds. Lena is very passionate about mental and physical health and actively learns and shares a variety of healthy habits to incorporate into your daily life and routine such as yoga, meditation, stretching, and holistic natural approach to eating and living.
