Before entering the healthcare field, Dr. Jennifer Jones received a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) from the University of Regina. She then completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. During that time, Dr. Jones also completed training in Neurofunctional Contemporary Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University. Dr. Jones also holds certification in Webster Technique, through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy through SMART tools, and is a 200-hour trained yoga teacher. Dr. Jones provides care for all conditions ranging from general aches and pains to specific problems like arthritis, ankle sprains and/or hip injuries. She has a special interest in treating pre- and post-natal patients, as well as providing pediatric care. Dr. Jones also enjoys treating neck complaints, headaches/ migraines, temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and tailbone pain (coccydynia). Dr. Jones provides evidence-based care with a patient centered approach. She analyzes the whole-body and creates personalized treatment plans with the patient’s needs and wants in mind. She tries to restore the body through its entirety, with a mixture of hands-on treatment, nutrition advice, education, and or lifestyle changes. Dr. Jones provides her own unique style and approach to care by combining her education with her background in yoga, dance, and strength training. Her treatment style consists of myofascial release techniques, joint manipulations/adjustments, electrical or non-electrical acupuncture, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation, mindfulness and education. Overall, Dr. Jones works with her patients as a team, and educates them with tools to help them manage and understand their own pain. When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Jones enjoys hiking, exploring local coffee shops, eating Sunday brunch, and spending time with family and friends.
During this visit the chiropractor will conduct a thorough history and physical exam and provide a diagnosis. If appropriate, treatment will be provided and may include adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, exercise rehab.
