Joni is a Woman Veteran, accomplished ultra-distance athlete, and dedicated wellness professional. Bridging a background in high-level endurance athletics with a profound understanding of human biomechanics, she is committed to helping clients and students achieve optimal physical longevity, performance, and recovery. Her hands-on expertise began at the The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School, where she earned her Licensed Massage Therapy credential in 2004. Since then, she has built an extensive foundation of continuing education, specializing in advanced myofascial release techniques to help relieve pain, restore mobility, and improve tissue health. In addition to her bodywork background, Joni is a skilled ACE Certified Fitness Professional (2018) offering specialized programming in functional training and senior fitness. An avid athlete herself, her deep knowledge of multisport conditioning is backed by a United States Association of Triathlon Coach certification, as well as United States Masters Swimming Coach and Adult Learn to Swim credentials. Passionate about the mind-body connection, Joni is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with advanced training in Yin Yoga. Deeply committed to the veteran community, she also serves as a Warriors at Ease Retreat Leader, utilizing specialized yoga and mindfulness practices to support veterans and others dealing with trauma, stress, and chronic tension. Through her multidimensional approach, Joni empowers individuals to move better, heal effectively, and sustain lifelong physical vitality.
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
