Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac.) Ian is a Registered Acupuncturist who graduated from the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Toronto. His work is rooted in the core principles of Chinese Medicine, taking a whole-person approach and focusing on the root cause, not just the symptoms. He supports patients with a wide range of concerns, including chronic pain, stress and tension, migraines, digestive issues, insomnia, psycho-emotional health, and women’s/AFAB health. Treatments often blend acupuncture with modalities like cupping, tuina, gua sha, and moxibustion, depending on what your body needs that day. Ian’s approach is calm, collaborative, and grounded. He takes the time to really listen, creating a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and be met exactly where you’re at. Each treatment is thoughtful and individualized, because no two people, or days, are the same. His path into Chinese Medicine began through his own experience with chronic pain. After trying multiple avenues without lasting relief, acupuncture was the first treatment that truly made a difference. Over time, he came to understand that the root of his symptoms was psycho-emotional — something that hadn’t been addressed elsewhere. That experience sparked a deep curiosity and ultimately led him to pursue formal training, with the intention of offering others the same kind of care that helped him when nothing else did. Before becoming an acupuncturist, Ian was a professional touring musician and artist. That chapter of his life shaped his ability to listen, a skill that continues to guide his work in the treatment room today.
