Kayla completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic & Exercise Therapy at Camosun College and is passionate about working with complex acute and chronic injuries and chronic pain for clients with varying functional abilities. Kayla is a 4th-year Manual Osteopathy Student at Sutherland-Chan and is learning techniques to increase the vitality and function of various tissues in the body, allowing her to be able to effectively treat all integrated body systems to promote optimal health and function. Having designed and executed pain management programs, Kayla understands the complexity and personal nature of pain experiences. Rather than merely addressing symptoms, she believes in delving deeper to identify the true underlying causes. By considering the whole person, Kayla can create tailored programs that focus on treating the root of the problem. With a collaborative approach, Kayla aims to meet individuals where they are in their journey. By using a combination of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and pain education, clients will discover self-management strategies to effectively manage pain and return to the activities they love. Kayla is passionate about promoting an active lifestyle. She grew up playing competitive softball and advocated for the numerous benefits of incorporating activity that is flexible and enjoyable in your life. When she’s not pursuing her professional passions, Kayla cherishes spending quality time with her family. Additionally, she loves embarking on adventures with her dogs, Maggie and Cooper.
