Jayten’s goal is simple: to build athletes who are robust, resilient, and ready for the demands of competition. He believes that quality rehabilitation is training, just scaled appropriately to your current state. Growing up in the Tri-Cities, Jayten built his foundation with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (SFU) and a Master of Physical Therapy (UBC). Recognizing that standard physio protocols often fall short for high-performing individuals, he earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential. This distinction allows Jayten to bridge the gap between healthcare and performance, utilizing advanced exercise progressions and load management strategies tailored specifically for sports. Expertise in Concussion Management Jayten has developed a strong niche in treating concussions and mild traumatic brain injuries, drawing on experience with sports concussions (including his time with the Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs) and motor vehicle accidents. He recognizes that a frequently undermined variable in symptom reproduction is psychological. His approach involves first teaching patients the crucial “why” behind their symptoms, laying the groundwork for effective, active rehabilitation implementation. Treatment Philosophy: Education, Empowerment and Exercise. Jayten is a “nerd” when it comes to the human body and mind, constantly reviewing cutting-edge research to help patients self-optimize. In the clinic, he is hands-on and demanding. He utilizes a robust toolkit—including manual therapy (IMS/dry needling, joint mobilization/manipulation, massage), movement, education, and mindfulness—to show patients how strong their bodies truly are. He doesn’t believe in boring rehab; he designs sport-specific challenges that are engaging and meaningful to the patient’s goals. His practice is guided by the philosophy that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. He promises to listen, understand, and then push you to your potential to help you live a healthier, happier, high-performing life.
