I'm Sheena Carnes thank you for showing interest in Healing Hands Massage & Wellness, LLC. I was born in Guam, USA and then shortly after moved to Iowa where I have grown up. I went to Allen College of Nursing right out of high school and graduated in 1995, started a wonderful position at Covenant Medical Center, now Mercy One and also the same year married my high school sweetheart Jason. I've also worked as a nurse in hospice, long term care, hospital and clinic settings. We have 3 beautiful daughters and live on an acreage near Waverly. I love to read, garden, go on hikes, travel, watch birds and care for my chickens. My husband and I are active in our church and also love to travel and see new places. I decided to become a massage therapist for several reasons. The first one is that I, myself have benefited so much from massage, it has helped me with more flexibility, stress relief and less back and shoulder pain. I wanted to continue helping people achieve their health goals and massage therapy can definitely help those who want to become their best selves. I love that a great massage can help ease tension, pain and help with increased flexibility. It can even help those with anxiety and depression!
