Maryam is a certified kinesiologist and a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK). She holds a Master’s degree in Physical Education and has over 13 years of experience as a physical educator. She has taught and trained in areas including motor learning, posture alignment, sports nutrition, first aid, weight management, and exercise therapy. Her specialties include active health and fitness, injury rehabilitation, and exercise therapy, with additional training in Soft Tissue Release, Kinesio Taping, and Whiplash management. Maryam brings strong supervisory and mentoring skills and believes in a proactive, balanced approach to physical and mental wellness.
Kinesiology is a form of therapy that uses muscle monitoring (biofeedback) to look at imbalances that may be causing disease in the body. Kinesiology aims to detect and correct imbalances that may relate to stress, nutrition or minor injuries.
