Akshita is an internationally trained physiotherapist who completed her physiotherapy degree in India in 2016 before pursuing further studies in Fitness and Health Promotion in Canada. She takes a client-centred approach to care, focusing on each individual’s unique needs and goals. Passionate about restoring mobility and enhancing overall wellness, she has extensive experience in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, spinal conditions, and post-operative recovery. Through a holistic approach and personalized treatment plans, she empowers patients to achieve their health goals using education, targeted exercise, and hands-on therapy to improve functional mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life. Akshita has a particular clinical interest and advanced training in pelvic rehabilitation, providing care for individuals experiencing urinary incontinence, prolapse, vaginismus, and other pelvic floor dysfunctions. She also incorporates the McKenzie approach, especially for spinal injuries, along with cupping and Gua Sha techniques for sports rehabilitation. In addition, she manages vestibular and concussion conditions and is skilled in manual therapy techniques, including joint mobilization and soft-tissue release, to optimize patient outcomes. Outside of her professional practice, Akshita enjoys music, cooking, travelling, playing badminton, and strength training.
First appointment with the practitioner, 1 hour in length where they will assess the area of injury and formulate a personalized treatment plan.
