Jessica was the first student from Dalhousie University to complete the Joint MSc in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Research, graduating at the top of her class in 2021. Her master’s thesis examined the biomechanics of walking and its relationship to knee osteoarthritis, and her work has since been published in the journal Gait & Posture. Building on her dual master’s degrees, Jessica pursued advanced clinical training through Western University’s Master of Advanced Healthcare Practice in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. This post-professional program led to her designation as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), a nationally recognized standard of excellence in orthopaedic physiotherapy. She has also completed Level 2 certification through the National Orthopaedic Division, Biomedical Dry Needling certification with SMART Seminars, and training in concussion management through Concussion Rehab Works Inc. Jessica takes an evidence-informed approach to care, integrating individualized exercise, education, and manual therapy to help clients of all ages reach their goals and return to the activities they love. Beyond her clinical work, Jessica is passionate about teaching. She works as an online instructor helping physiotherapy students prepare for the national licensing exam and serves as a lab instructor in the physiotherapy program at Dalhousie University. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling abroad.
