Jessica van Koppen is a Physiotherapist who graduated from Queen’s University and previously completed a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Ottawa in Health Sciences, specializing in population and public health with a microprogram in aging studies. Growing up in the Metcalfe area, she is excited to give back to the community by helping individuals regain mobility, improve their quality of life, and enhance their physical performance. Outside of physiotherapy, she enjoys all things outdoors, has a love for animals, and finds relaxation in a good book. You might also find her at the arena coaching or playing ringette. Jessica played competitive ringette (for Metcalfe Hornets, Nepean Ravens, and the University of Ottawa) and has coached with the national ringette school during summers and recently returned to coaching a local Metcalfe Hornets team. She continues to run to train for half marathons. Her treatment approach combines manual therapy and exercise in an evidence-based manner. Jessica is also rostered in dry needling and acupunture after completing the level 1 course with Evidence in Motion, and Acupunture Canada further enhancing her treatment approach.
