Stefanie Stolzenberg , a Licensed Massage Therapist, graduated from NY College for Health Professionals with an associates degreein Massage therapy in 1999. She immediately began working in a variety of massage locations including Gyms, salons, spas, chiropractic office, private practice and even a dentists office. Stefanie got her bachelor degree in Restaurant management and was working 50-60 hours a week, but when she was diagnosed with Chronic fatigue and her mom with Fibromyalgia, Stefanie knew she needed a change. The day after making this decision, she received a flyer about an open house at the local massage school. Having never even received a massage, she definitely never thought of being a massage therapist but by the end of the first week of the first semester, Stefanie knew she found her new path. In the last 20 years, Stefanie has continued this journey and has taken many hours of continuing Ed courses to improve her massage techniques, including sports massage, hot stone, pregnancy massage, even infant massage. This gave her the experience to pull elements from a wide variety of modalities to find the best solution for your wellbeing. There are a number of different philosophies regarding massage and healing the body.. Ss believes the body will heal best when nurtured and care for, massage doesnt have to hurt to be effective. Ss wants each person to think of the massage room as a sanctuary, a safe and comforting space to start your healing. In the past 16 years, Stefanie and her family have moved quite a few times including to Long Island, New Jersey, Kansas and Altoona,Pa this time they bought a house. They are enjoying living in the Baltimore area where is finishing High school and her husband is the Cantor at BIOM. When not working, Stefanie and family are busy making new friends and checking out all there is to do in and around Baltimore.
