In 2004, after attending Dalhousie University, I decided to seek a career as a massage therapist. Having been a competitive swimmer for 15 years and suffering a sports related injury, I got to experience, firsthand, the benefits of massage. This early introduction to massage has remained a passion and focus for me. In 2010, I graduated with honours from the International Academy of Massage and immediately entered my field working at a physiotherapy clinic. Since then, I have experience in treating national level athletes, expectant mothers and those who suffer from chronic pain. With over 10 years of experience, I pride myself in listening to my clients’ needs and tailoring each massage to specific issues that need to be addressed. Not one massage is the same. I use a wide range of techniques but have a special interest in myofascial release to treat chronic and acute issues and to help patients regain postural imbalances and improve mobility. I have always been fascinated with how the body works and continue to expand my knowledge and techniques. Whether you are someone with an acute or persistent issue or someone looking for preventative measures, massage therapy can be very beneficial and something I am happy to help you with.
