Amanda House is a classically trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner in London, Ontario, and a dedicated member of the Goodwill Healing clinical team. Amanda combines over 20 years of experience in the health, fitness, and physical rehabilitation industries with classical osteopathic principles to target the root structural causes of chronic pain and mobility limitations. Guided by a background in human kinetics and functional biology, Amanda believes the body can heal, regulate, and adapt through appropriate manual therapy, proper nutrition, and movement. Her comprehensive clinical framework treats the whole body through a drug-free and non-invasive manual therapy, ensuring proper structural alignment to naturally clear mechanical blockages and support tissue nourishment. PRIMARY AREAS OF CLINICAL FOCUS: Systemic Health & Holistic Nutrition Support: Looking at the whole body from the inside out by evaluating how mechanical structural alignment impacts functional biology. Amanda utilizes gentle manual care, along with her background in biology, to help manage conditions associated with systemic inflammation, metabolic stress, gut health, bloating, and digestive restrictions. Chronic Musculoskeletal & Pain Management: Utilizing low-load manual adjustments to target long-standing muscle tension, lower back pain, neck strain, sciatica, knee pain, and physical restrictions while soothing overstimulated autonomic nerves. Post-Operative Recovery & Soft-Tissue Integration: Precise myofascial release and soft-tissue mobilization designed to unbind restrictive scar layers, manage shoulder tension, muscular guarding, and restore natural joint tracking after injury or surgery. Postural Stress & Workplace Strain Relief: Correcting mechanical imbalances and structural fatigue stemming from repetitive occupational movements, prolonged sitting, or heavy physical labour. Canine & Feline Biomechanical Specialization (Animal Osteopathy): Applying classical structural principles to household pets and livestock to address spine shifts, manage joint stiffness, support senior pet mobility/canine arthritis symptoms, and provide supportive care paths during dedicated barn visits. PROFESSIONAL PROFILE & BACKGROUND: Amanda brings two decades of clinical and exercise science expertise to the clinic. She graduated with an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Biology, from McMaster University, before practicing extensively across multidisciplinary physical rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and chiropractic environments. She completed her intensive four-year human osteopathic training at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, completing a rigorous curriculum focused on the anatomical and mechanical laws of the body. Driven by a lifelong commitment to quadruped care, she furthered her education by completing a veterinary-led graduate program, earning her postgraduate Graduate Diploma in Animal Osteopathy (GDAO). INSURANCE & CREDENTIALS: Amanda holds a Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (MOMSc) from the CAO.
