Jelena graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science and a Master’s degree in Physiology and Pharmacology before pursuing her Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. After completing her research degree, Jelena wanted to use her research skills in a clinical setting. As an active individual who has a passion for nutrition and fitness, physiotherapy quickly became the career path that allowed her to combine all of her interests. Jelena has gained experience with clients in a variety of clinical settings ranging from geriatrics to athletes. Her passion for orthopaedics and women’s health has led her to complete advanced manual therapy levels, as well as pelvic health post-graduate training in the assessment and treatment of incontinence and pelvic pain in men and women. Her treatment philosophy is focused on using manual therapy to optimize joint mobility, and evidence-based exercise prescription to create control and strength. She strives to educate and empower her clients to take control of their health, and to work as a team to achieve their goals. In her spare time, you will find Jelena at the gym, going on hikes, or in the kitchen trying a new healthy recipe. She is looking forward to working with you on your health and fitness journey!

You'll want to book one of these if you are looking to have a physiotherapist provide an assessment that focuses on running related injury prevention, running performance or someone who is new to running. Please note that this assessment is specific to running. Should you require an assessment for other injuries, please book the regular Initial - Physiotherapy Assessment. If this injury is part of an ICBC or WorkSafeBC claim, please go back and book an ICBC or WSBC assessment.
