Alex brings together her love of movement, research, and the human body in her work as a physiotherapist. She completed a BSc Honours in Human and Cellular Physiology with Distinction and a Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. This strong scientific foundation, combined with hands-on experience in personal training, shapes her thoughtful and evidence-informed approach to care. Alex has a particular interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and enjoys integrating both orthopedic and neurological perspectives in her treatment. She has additional training in Orthopedic Manual Therapy through AIM Level 1 and Vestibular Rehabilitation. Throughout her degrees, Alex worked with the BC Brain Wellness Program in both exercise training and research roles. She led in-person and online group exercise classes for older adults and individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, while also contributing to research focused on program improvement and the effects of exercise, mindfulness, and nutrition on healthy aging. Working closely with older adults and people with neurological conditions, particularly Parkinson’s disease, became a central passion for Alex and inspired her desire to work at NeuroFit alongside experienced practitioners in the Parkinson’s field. Originally from the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Alex now calls the West Coast home. Outside the clinic, she enjoys staying active through weightlifting, running, swimming, and exploring Vancouver’s ocean and mountain trails.
