Andrea has over 18 years experience as a physiotherapist in Washington state, predominately treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, concussions, vestibular conditions, and scoliosis, in pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations. Andrea is a native of Nova Scotia and did her undergraduate degrees in Canada and first became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2001. She then did her graduate work in the United States and graduated summa cum laude with Masters in Science in Physical Therapy from Husson College in Bangor, Maine in 2006, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007. Andrea’s treatment approach draws heavily on her training as a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, as well as her experience as on Orthopedic Certified Specialist, and former competitive athlete. She is a certified Schroth scoliosis provider, a Level II Shift Concussion Provider, and has advanced vestibular training, all of which help her to provide more effective treatment interventions to patients, for improved healing. Andrea enjoys establishing a strong rapport with clients, completing thorough, comprehensive evaluations with complex clients, and developing unique, individualized treatment programs. Andrea and her family are excited to have moved back to Canada. “We are excited to ski, mountain bike, hike, run, and build community in this awesome small town.”
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training is one of the most exciting advances in modern physiotherapy. Using specialized cuffs to gently restrict blood flow, BFR allows you to build strength and muscle using very light weights—making it ideal for injury rehab and post-surgical recovery. Clients love it for its ability to accelerate strength gains, reduce joint stress, and safely improve muscle size and endurance. BFR is especially beneficial for active adults, athletes, and anyone limited by pain or loading restrictions. Delivered by licensed physiotherapists with individualized settings and close supervision, it’s a safe, effective way to make meaningful progress—especially when you’ve been told to “take it easy” but still want results.
