Sindi Bisenius, MMP, LMT is a Certified Medical Massage Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist who studied at Capri College in Dubuque, Iowa, where she graduated top of her class and specialized in swedish massage, prenatal, cupping, lymphatic drainage, facial massage and deep tissue. Upon graduation, she continued to add to her knowledge by getting extensive training in Sacred Lomi Lomi massage and achieving her Medical Massage Practitioner Certification. She has completed several courses through Harvard Medical School in biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology and physiology. Sindi's specialty is relaxation, stress-relief and pain management.
Massage
This massage may include any/all of the following: Gentle to firm pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create overall wellness. Deep tissue, designed to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. Cupping, using negative pressure to pull, lift, open and expand the body’s soft tissues to release adhesions, eliminate scar tissue and increase blood flow. TENS unit, using electrical stimulation to break up congestion/trigger points.
Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle light massage that helps to direct lymphatic fluid towards the lymph nodes. The lymphatic system is part of your immune system and cleans toxins, proteins, cancer cells, viruses, and dead cells about 20 times faster than the body is able to do on it's own. Once a large amount of toxins are eliminated, the body is able to relax more deeply and use it's energy more directly to regenerate the cells.
