Leah Taylor graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. During her undergraduate degree she competed as a light weight rower on the UBC Women’s Varsity rowing team giving her personal experience with physiotherapy rehabilitation for back injuries in sport. Upon graduation, Leah stayed in Vancouver to work as a Kinesiologist and personal trainer while also taking up Olympic distance triathlon. She then completed her Master’s in Physical Therapy Degree at the University of Toronto, where she obtained further education in pelvic floor and orthopedic physiotherapy in her last year of school. Leah believes in a multidimensional approach to treating a variety of orthopedic conditions by using manual therapy, pain neuroscience education, rehabilitative exercises, mindfulness with movement and relaxation techniques. She has taken an interest in pelvic floor physiotherapy and also wishes to pursue further education in acupuncture and dry needling techniques, as well as vestibular rehabilitation. Leah has a love for recreational endurance sports and enjoys spending her time in nature. She has moved back to the West Coast to explore the beautiful Vancouver Island for the first time and is excited to share her passion for exercise and movement with her patients.
